Recently, a friend of mine who is a member of AdSense, had his AdSense account banned. I ask him if he had clicked his own ads, but he said something terribly happen, that even him, don't know what is the cause.
For your information, Google used a very sophisticated system to detect invalid clicks. And if you have clicked your own ads, they will instantly terminate your account, without giving you any warning. But how does Google detect this? Below are some steps you should follow to avoid your AdSense account banned.
1. IP Address
- If one of the clicks is same (IP Address) as your use to access your account.
2. Click Through Rate
- Click through rate, must be ranges 0.5% to 10%. If the CTR higher than 10%, you will have a high chances to get your account banned.
3. Cookies
- Google has set 'special' cookies on your computer. They can trace these cookies and see if they are originate from the same computer.
4. Location
- Google can trace your traffic patterns by Geo Location. Using a different computers with different IP address does not help you.So, never click your own ads in a nearby internet cafe.
5. Hit And Run
- When you click your own ads and then run away immediately.
